Consent texts

You give your consent to your child's school: the school is the data controller for your child's data and Petek processes it on the school's behalf. You consent as your child's legal representative under parental authority (Turkish Civil Code Art. 342). How the data is processed is explained in the privacy notice.

Consent is never a condition of the service. If you do not consent, your child loses no education or care service and the rest of the app keeps working. Every consent and withdrawal is recorded with the date and time, account and text version.

1. Sharing photos and videos in the school's closed gallery

What: Photos and videos showing your child, taken during school activities and daily life.

Where: Only in the school's closed gallery in Petek Aile. Only you and the family members linked to your account see them.

Why: To share your child's day and activities with you.

Safeguards: Location and device data are removed before sharing. There is no AI face recognition; school staff tag children.

How long: The retention period your school sets. If you withdraw, earlier photos are hidden from you and other parents too.

If you do not consent: Photos and videos are not shown to you and your child is removed from the photos they are tagged in.

I have read the privacy notice. I give explicit consent to the school sharing photos and videos of my child in its closed gallery in Petek Aile as described above.

2. The school's promotional channels (optional, each separately)

The school's website, social media accounts and printed materials (brochure, yearbook, notice boards) are each asked separately. Images on these channels are public and copying by others cannot be fully prevented. When you withdraw, the school removes the image from its own channels.

Because Turkish Ministry of National Education rules require the parent's written permission for pupils' images on social media, your school may also ask for a signed form for these channels.

I give explicit consent to my child's photos and videos being used on the school's (website / social media accounts / printed materials).

3. Showing group photos to other parents

What: Photos and videos where your child appears with other children.

To whom: Only the parents of the other children in the photo, in the closed gallery.

Rule: A group photo is shown to those parents only if every child's parent has given this consent. It is never shown to other parents in the class or outside the school. If you withdraw, group photos of your child are hidden from other parents.

I give explicit consent to group photos showing my child being shown, in Petek Aile's closed gallery, to the parents of the other children in the photo.

4. Health information

What: Your child's allergies, regular medication, chronic conditions the school needs to know, and related documents such as a doctor's report. This is special category data under Law No. 6698 Art. 6.

Why: Your child's safety at school: suitable meals, correct first response in an emergency, correct medication.

Who sees it: Only staff directly caring for your child (class teachers, head, health staff) and other staff the school authorises, as far as their work needs. The kitchen sees allergy counts without names. You and the other linked parent see it in the app; other parents never do.

How long: While your child is enrolled and for any period the law requires.

Withdrawal: At any time, in the app or in writing to the school; the school then stops holding this information in Petek. Please note that the school may still need it on another legal ground (for example to protect life, Art. 6(3)(c)), and that the school not knowing about an allergy or medication may put your child at risk.

I give explicit consent to the processing of my child's health information listed above, for the purpose and by the persons described.

5. Sharing your location on the way to pick up (asked for each pick-up)

What data: When you say you are on the way and choose the location-based arrival time, your phone's location is sent to the school about every 30 seconds while the pick-up lasts. The location is not stored; the school keeps only your distance from the school, how fast you are approaching and your estimated arrival time.

Why: So your child is ready before you reach the door and you wait less.

Who sees it: Only your child's class teachers and the staff at the door see your distance. Your child's other guardians see only that you are on the way and a rough arrival time; no other parent sees anything.

How long: Sharing stops by itself when you reach the school, at the hand-over, when you cancel or after an hour without an update; the distance and speed are deleted then. The pick-up record (when you set off and reached the door, and this consent) is deleted completely after 30 days.

Withdrawal: You can stop sharing in the app at any moment. Without this consent you can still type your arrival time yourself.

I consent to the location of my phone being processed as described above while I come to pick up my child, for the duration of this pick-up.

Commercial messages

Petek Aile never sends you promotional or campaign messages and never asks for permission to do so. Announcements and information from your school are between you and the school.
